Effective September 1, 2022 EOU is no longer requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for students or employees. Face coverings are welcome on campus, but are not required. EOU representatives continue to meet regularly with CHD staff who are actively monitoring the COVID-19 conditions in Union County.
The Center for Disease Control and Oregon Health Authority have determined that most people are no longer required to quarantine when exposed to someone with COVID-19. The university does not require staff and faculty to quarantine if they have been exposed to someone with COVID-19. As with all cases of illness and communicable diseases, symptomatic staff and faculty should stay home, contact their medical professional and notify their supervisor. Employees who test positive for COVID-19 infection must continue to notify their supervisor. COVID-19 testing and vaccines are available through the Center for Human Development.
